Mental Health Policy
Recently factors such as changing social conditions, rapidly advancing IT, broadening responsibilities at work, performance-based incomes, and relationships straining under a lack of communication have propelled the need to discuss mental health into the public spotlight.
The Ministry of Health, Labor, and Welfare has issued Guidelines for Maintaining and Promoting the Mental Health of Workers, stating that businesses must strive to maintain and improve their worker's total health, mental as well as physical.
At the heart of Sigma Staff is a philosophy based on building trust and providing value to society by filling the changing needs of the labor market.
With this philosophy in mind, we prioritize the physical and mental health of our workers,
endeavoring to provide peaceful, dynamic, low-stress working environments.
That's why we offer ongoing support in the form of counseling, education, workplace improvement, and health and safety oversight.
1. Raising Awareness, Providing Information
We recognize every May as Mental Health Month, providing all of our associates with information about preventing, reducing, and coping with stress.
2. The Stress Assessment Program
We provide all of our associates with an annual screening for stress.
We also encourage our associates to practice regular self-monitoring as a means of prevention.
3. Counseling
We provide our associates with training in how to get the most out of counseling, including how to speak with and listen to counselors.
We make counseling easy and accessible.
We also strive to reduce physical and mental fatigue by reducing work time through streamlining workflow, advocating for annual paid leave, and providing mental health information and updates throughout the year.
